Dallas-based Good Returns, a social enterprise firm, and Dallas-based investment firm Inverdale Capital Management have announced the launch of their Guarantee-Investment-Values Strategies program.
The Guarantee-Investment-Values Strategies immediately will expand the guarantee capacity for Good Returns’ Cycle program, according to a release.
The new program comes about a month after Good Returns announced a $1 million investment from Inverdale Capital Management, which focuses on alternative investments.
“Guarantees make it possible for companies to participate in much larger Good Returns’ cycles.”
Kyle Lukianuk
Companies that participate in Good Returns provide capital using a one-year interest-free loan, or “cycle.” Good Returns distributes the capital to vetted groups that have shown sustainable, long-term solutions for social challenges.
The Cycle program requires repayment a year later, which does more than just encourage sustainability, it requires it, according to Good Returns.
While GIVS targets a financial return, it also takes into account an impact weighting, and offers guarantee capacity for impact lending programs.
“With this innovation, Good Returns is creating social impact on multiple levels.”

“Guarantees make it possible for companies to participate in much larger Good Returns’ cycles,” Good Returns President Kyle Lukianuk said in the release. “That means a guarantee can enable more women to start their own businesses, send more children to school, and provide clean drinking water to more communities around the globe.”
Before the GIVS program, Good Returns said it only provided guarantees for its Cycle program via philanthropic partnerships, but said its Cycle program is better positioned to scale now that guarantors have options that are more than just philanthropic.
“Investors are increasingly asking if high-performance strategies can also create high impact,” Inverdale Capital Management Partner Ryan Small said. “With this innovation, Good Returns is creating social impact on multiple levels.”
