Founders Live

The Founders Live is expanding into Dallas with live-streamed monthly pitch events beginning in January at NoD Coworking, 17290 Preston Road.

In October, the pitch competition held a pilot event at NoD, the North Dallas coworking space opened by Chirag Gupta in 2014.

Founders Live is a monthly startup pitch event that celebrates innovation and entrepreneurship, and was started in 2014 by Nick Hughes in Seattle.

Other cities currently hosting Founders Live events are Seattle, Portland, Boulder, Chicago, New York, and Atlanta.

Companies have exactly 99 seconds to pitch their startup, followed by a question and answer session with the audience. The winner is chosen by an audience vote.

During the October event, North Texas startup KeyPiece.org was the crowd favorite, according to the release. The top prize includes $5,000 in Amazon Web Services credits from Amazon.

Dallas-based software development firm Fathom Software will sponsor the Founders Live events in Dallas.
