Diversified Names Veteran Tech Executive as CIO

Viral Tripathi will oversee Diversified's enterprise technology strategy, leading global IT across applications, cybersecurity, data and analytics, digital innovation, infrastructure, and business systems.

Diversified, a Plano-based global leader in audiovisual and media innovation, has appointed Viral Tripathi as its new chief information officer. The tech executive has more than three decades of experience guiding enterprise transformations and improving business outcomes in private equity-backed professional services and global organizations, Diversified said.

Tripathi, who officially joined the company May 4th, reports to CEO Paul Lidsky and serves on Diversified’s executive leadership team.

“Diversified has strong fundamentals, an exciting growth agenda and a leadership team with the ambition and urgency to match,” Tripathi said in a statement. “This is exactly the kind of opportunity I look for: a well-run business with the scale, talent and commitment to keep raising the bar, a long-term vision for market leadership and a clear understanding that technology can drive meaningful enterprise value.”

Technology driving operational excellence

As CIO, Tripathi will oversee Diversified’s enterprise technology strategy, leading global IT across applications, cybersecurity, data and analytics, digital innovation, infrastructure, and business systems. He also will work to bolster the digital and data foundation to support AI enablement, improve operational efficiency, and ensure that technology drives commercial value and long-term competitive advantage, the company said.

“As Diversified continues to scale globally, technology must be a core driver of operational excellence, customer experience and long-term growth,” said Lidsky.

“Viral’s track record leading complex IT modernization programs, building global delivery models and using data and AI to improve business performance aligns directly with where we are headed as a company,” he added in a statement. “I’m confident he will be a strong partner to our leadership team as we strengthen the digital foundation that supports our people, our clients and the future of our business.”

Specializing in operational transformation

Before joining Diversified, Tripathi was CIO of C1 (formerly ConvergeOne), overseeing enterprise IT transformation, including a cloud ERP program, developing data analytics, and scaling the company’s global IT capabilities. Previously, he served as CTO and then global CIO at Ascendion (formerly Collabera), a technology engineering and talent solutions group. There he empowered revenue growth through technology modernization and data-driven insights, quickly establishing core systems that included generative to enhance productivity.

Additionally, Tripathi spent more than seven years of his career at KPMG, where he advised Fortune 500 C-level leaders and private equity sponsors on IT strategy, M&A integration, and digital transformation and large-scale operational transformation in the United States and Europe.

Tripathi was honored with a Top 100 Technology Professionals OnCon Icon Award 2025, which was based on peer voting across the technology community, the company said.
