The Dallas Mavericks announced a multi-year partnership with banking company Chime, which will include supporting programs in North Texas communities.
Chime’s initiatives across DFW will focus on financial literacy and education and contribute to the Mavs Foundation’s mission of supporting women, children, and families in need. The Mavs and Chime will also collaborate on the Venture Entrepreneurial Expedition, a Mavs program guiding students through their entrepreneurial journeys. The program launched in 2017 and has already reached thousands of North Texas middle and high school students.
Both the Mavs and Chime are committed to investing in local communities and have both been recognized for innovation and pushing the status quo in their industries.
“We also share the same goal of nurturing an extraordinary workplace culture,” said Cynt Marshall, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, in a statement. “It’s clear in spending time with the employees of Chime that every voice matters and everybody belongs, just like at the Mavs.”
San Francisco-based Chime has been recognized as a Great Place to Work and recently launched partnerships with WeThrive and Oakland Promise as well.
“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with the Mavs, one of the most exciting teams in the NBA,” Chris Britt, Chime CEO and co-founder, said in a statement. “At Chime, we focus on helping our members achieve financial peace of mind with banking services that are simple and free. One of our core values is to always be member obsessed and we’re proud to partner with an organization that is similarly committed to its fans and community.”
The partnership will also include the official Jersey Patch sponsorship for team uniforms as well as exclusive category rights and multiple advertising and promotional initiatives.
