Dallas-based StaffDNA, a fast-growing staffing firm on its way to becoming a national leader, has launched a first-of-its-kind digital marketplace specifically for the healthcare industry.
The newly launched self-service technology is designed to give healthcare professionals complete control. Whether they’re looking for travel, local, or permanent positions, those in healthcare can find and manage jobs on their own time.
Founder and CEO Sheldon Arora says the marketplace is “built on top of the most advanced Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in the industry.” This allows the interactions between professionals and employers to be seamless and streamlined with real-time updates.
The benefits are two-fold: “StaffDNA gives healthcare professionals the freedom to find the jobs they want, while making it easier for healthcare facilities to manage their staffing needs more efficiently than ever before,” the company says.
“The staffing model has been stagnant for more than 75 years and is inherently inefficient in today’s world,” he said. “So, we built one that is going to revolutionize the industry as we know it.”
Arora founded StaffDNA in 2013 with tech leaders and private investors. The company is built on a “new staffing model” that aims to help people find and manage jobs independently without recruiters or barriers. And though it has so far been privately funded by its founders, StaffDNA is now in the early stages of discussing external funding.
“Healthcare professionals provide care for our communities 24/7. Their skillsets are high in demand, but finding healthcare jobs is a cumbersome, challenging process,” Arora said. “They have to rely on recruiters and wait to hear back statuses. They don’t have the tools and technology to do it themselves, until now.”
Arora has more than two decades of experience in largescale technology systems and leadership. He previously founded healthcare staffing company LiquidAgents Healthcare in 2003, and still serves as CEO of that company, too. He has also been an executive at Esoftsolutions, Perot Systems, and EDS.
StaffDNA currently has 12 corporate team members, but Arora said it’s growing quickly. He anticipates having at least 30 by the end of the year.
“The key of our business is the relationships we have with healthcare facilities nationwide, vendor management companies who work with hospitals, and our technology partner, LaborEdge,” Arora told Dallas Innovates. “Within the last two months, we’ve partnered with more than 150 healthcare facilities, adding an average of 50 facilities per month.”
The new digital marketplace started being piloted two months ago, and Arora said it has since gained traction. On average, there have been 5,000 mobile app downloads a month and 1,000 unique candidates applying to jobs a month.
Arora said his team has diligently designed the tech—which he has obtained and filed several trademarks for—that differentiates StaffDNA from any other staffing model.
The StaffDNA marketplace works like this: Healthcare professionals are able to search for exclusive jobs across the country and get all the details upfront without having to register. Customization is available, which includes housing options, benefits, and travel allowance.
Users also have the ability to apply to multiple jobs with one-click, check an application’s status, accept or decline offers, manage compliance requirements, upload their credentials, and receive timely reminders.
“StaffDNA provides healthcare professionals complete control to find the jobs they want and connect with healthcare facilities directly. The platform does the same for healthcare facilities looking for staff,” Arora said. “Hiring managers can find the candidates they want without going through agencies.”
