Cooklist is an application that provides automatic grocery shopping with the option to view recipes, compare prices, and order curbside pickup. Now, the app is also doubling as a Thanksgiving meal planner.
This Dallas startup is connecting its users with all things food including recipes, pantry items, grocery lists, and price comparisons that are all available on the platform. Launching just in time for Thanksgiving, Cooklist wants to help more than just its users this holiday season.
“Cooklist is free but has a premium version that unlocks the ability to order online, and this month, we are donating all of the proceeds to buy Thanksgiving dinners for families in need,” Brandon Warman, co-founder of Cooklist, told Dallas Innovates.
Along with the launch of the Thanksgiving planner is its new price comparison feature, which allows consumers to compare real-time prices at their local grocery stores. Not only can users track and monitor what they buy and what meals they can make, but now they can also save money while doing it.
Through the new feature, Cooklist matches items on a user’s shopping list to the product listings at a variety of grocery stores to show not only prices, but also the availability of items. Warman shared that in the past 30 days, 2,000 people have already had over $100,000 worth of groceries price-matched.
With Cooklist’s other features, pantry items can be logged into the app so that users always know what’s in their fridge or pantry. By using the app’s planning feature, Cooklist users can add everything down to a tablespoon, so they can know what to add to their cart, while also using the price comparison tool to know how to get it at the lowest price.
