ClubCorp Launches Luxe Traveling Wedding Showcase, Win-a-Wedding Contest Coming to Dallas

Brides and grooms to-be are invited to tour 10 ClubCorp country clubs across North Texas, meet industry experts, and compete for a $10,000 wedding package in a first-of-its-kind showcase.

With season 23 of The Bachelor airing on ABC and Valentine’s Day fast approaching, it’s hard not to think about romance. Luckily, even if your friends don’t want to listen to you talk about your latest crush, ClubCorp’s wedding experts do.

ClubCorp’s luxe traveling wedding showcase—an all-day event coming to 10 North Texas ClubCorp country clubs on February 16—lets brides- and grooms-to-be, along with other wedding hopefuls, indulge in all things matrimony including cocktail and food tastings, luxury transportation, and the opportunity to win a $10,000 wedding.

Don Boshears, ClubCorp’s regional director of catering and event sales, says the wedding showcase puts attendees face-to-face with industry experts, wedding planners, and local vendors, all of whom can help make the special day a stunning success.

“This experiential event, which we believe is the first of its kind, will allow us to uniquely showcase our outstanding wedding venues throughout the DFW area during one informative, fun-filled and exciting day,” Boshears said in a statement. “Each club’s unique features will be showcased by a hand-picked group of the region’s best wedding planners.  Attendees will be transported via luxury motorcoaches between each exclusive property—all set with wedding décor—followed by face-to-face meetings with our experienced team members and top local vendors.  Plus, there will be an opportunity to win a wedding. It is going to be a memorable day, for sure.”

Attendees will be shuttled to and from country club venues depending on their choice of tour: the North Tour costs $25, the South Tour costs $25, and Combined North and South Tour costs $40. The combined tour visits 10 clubs:

  • Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch
  • Canyon Creek Country Club in Richardson
  • The Clubs of Prestonwood
  • Gleneagles Country Club in Plano
  • Hackberry Creek Country Club
  • Las Colinas Country Club
  • La Cima and in Irving
  • Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco
  • Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney
  • Tower Club in Dallas

As for the Win-a-Wedding contest, registered couples who attend the showcase are invited to compete in a three-part, scored-skills challenge. Five finalist couples will advance to the final round of the competition, where a winner will be named and given a prize of a $10,000 wedding package at a ClubCorp country club.

The first round of the competition tests contestants’ golfing skills. When arriving at Brookhaven’s Fireside Room, competing couples will use the OOFIT Smiling Face Golf Cornhole Game to compete to become the chipping champion. Next, comes the Passbook Completion challenge. Couples fighting for the gold must visit at least give clubs and receive a stamp in their Luxe passbooks.

Wedding bells are sure to ring during round three—the Bouquet Toss Competition. Qualified couples will head to Brookhaven’s main ballroom to compete in a teamwork-driven game of catch. More specifically: One partner is required to throw a bouquet into a basket using only the guidance of his or her partner’s voice. Each team gets only one toss, unless a tie-breaker is necessary.

The winner’s package is set to include a wedding ceremony, wedding reception, engagement party, bridal show or other wedding related event up to $10,000 in retail value at any of the 10 participating clubs. Also included in the wedding package is ceremony, room rental, or non-member fees; a starter course; a chicken or vegetable entrée; a cheese and fruit display; a cake cutting; and basic linens.
