In a joint venture, Waterford Property Co., The Vistria Group, and Northern Liberties have acquired the 395-unit Domain at Midtown Park near Royal Lane and U.S. 75 in Dallas. Starting immediately, rent rates for new, qualified residents will be restricted "to create stable workforce housing" as part of an agreement with the Dallas Housing Finance Corporation. "This is just the beginning of our focus on Texas,” Waterford Co-Founder Sean Rawson said.

With a $30,000 grant from the American Society of Interior Designers Foundation, global architecture firm Corgan aims to find out. To do that, it's sending a research team into a North Texas elementary school with a remarkable suit that simulates a variety of disabilities.

Once Vista's renovation of the old Social Security building at 3225 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. is complete, the new location will serve not only as Vista's largest and latest banking center, but will also provide office space to house the Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce as well as Southern Dallas Progress and the SDFP Innovation Center. A Financial Literacy Center will also serve the community.

The downtown Dallas Public Library is the only public library in the state of Texas to offer a Patent and Trademark Resource Center from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. PTRCs are part of a national network of public, state, and academic libraries in partnership with the USPTO to offer trademark and patent assistance to the public.
The USPTO aims to empower innovation by expanding access—so it recently put out a call to 600 libraries and historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) around the country, inviting each institution to consider becoming PTRCs to assist their local innovators.

The museum, currently being built in Fort Worth's Historic Southside neighborhood, has a $70 million fundraising goal and is slated to open in 2025. The 50,000-square-foot Juneteenth Museum center will also host guest lectures, community events, and performances in its 250-seat amphitheater, while offering a food hall, store fronts, and a business incubator to boost local entrepreneurship.
