The Carrollton-based medical device startup, a 2015 Health Wildcatters graduate and TECH Fort Worth client, received $16,000 in cash and in kind prizes from Health Wildcatters and event sponsors, following four hours of elevator pitches from multiple companies.

“The Health Innovation Pitch Competition celebrates the spirit of entrepreneurship, and showcases emerging health-care companies with innovation solutions and treatments,” said Hubert Zajicek, CEO and co-founder of Health Wildcatters, adding that the competition included teams from across the U.S., as well as a few belonging to the health-care accelerator.

“However, the real prize is the opportunity to pitch in front of the audience of health-care private equity and venture capital investors,” he said.

Coming in second to Dynofit was Dallas-based Nexeon MedSystems, and Moving Analytics Inc., which is headquartered in San Francisco.

Each competitor was given 10 minutes for their presentations and Q&As for the opportunity to win cash and in-kind prizes.

Dynofit’s wearable Flexdot sensor and smartphone system measures signals emitted during exercise and muscle activations, to help patients and therapists keep track of goals during physical therapy.

“We are delighted to be selected from this field of impressive health-care startups,” Dynofit CEO Maria Schneider said in a release. “The cash prize will help us continue to expand our market presence in physical and occupational therapy.”
