Blue Star Sports, a Frisco-based youth sports software provider, has spent the last year acquiring eight companies and securing substantial funding from multiple investors, including Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

But, its growth isn’t over yet.

Blue Star Sports CEO Rob Wechsler told the Dallas Business Journal this week it plans to purchase nine more companies within the next 30 to 45 days.

The expansion is part of the company’s two-pronged approach.

“One was finding the right and the best talent in companies that existed out there, and bringing them into the family. And the second was really emphasizing our unique differentiation to the governing bodies — our organic growth strategy,” Wechsler told the DBJ.

The company recently announced a partnership with USA Football, the largest organization for youth football in the country.

With the new acquisitions, the company will increase its employee base from around 250 to 600, according to the DBJ.

“We’ve been, at Blue Star Sports, really focused on bridging the gap between large governing bodies and associations all over the world and the grassroots of youth sports, and trying to connect both of them together with a unique athlete-coach-parent relationship,” Wechsler told the business publication.
