Applications are open for the Pitchocracy competition.
Applications opened Thursday for a new pitch competition called “Pitchocracy” that is an official partnership between the Dallas Entrepreneur Center, Tech Wildcatters, and Dallas-based Comerica Bank.
The competition, whose name has an election-year ring to it, is open to companies based in Texas that fit within the Tech Wildcatters Accelerator Qualifications, according to a release.
The application process will close on Oct. 1, and public voting will occur on the Nov. 1, the release from the DEC said.
PITCHOCRACY EVENT DAY WILL BE IN NOVEMBER
Finalists will announced on Nov. 8 and they will compete against each other on stage at the Pitch Competition Event Day on Nov. 16.
According to the competition’s website, “Pitchocracy is an interactive pitch competition that celebrates the grit, determination, and spirit” of Texas’ entrepreneurs.
The DEC, Tech Wildcatters, and Comerica Bank announced their partnership in May with the intent of providing more small business solutions for entrepreneurs.
The DEC is a coworking space in the West End area of downtown Dallas that offers resources, support and opportunities to Dallas-area entrepreneurs.
Tech Wildcatters is on the top accelerators in the United States, and Comerica is the largest U.S. banking company with its headquarters in Texas.
