The deadline is rapidly approaching to apply for the 2018 cohort of Morgan Stanley’s Multicultural Innovation Lab.
Applications must be submitted by Jan. 19 for the accelerator program within Morgan Stanley, which focuses on technology and technology-enabled startups with a multicultural or female entrepreneur and/or management team at the helm, according to a release.
According to Morgan Stanley, the program is a 20-week accelerator aimed at helping build and scale startups leading to a showcase that presents each company to the investor community.
The financial services firm, which has a branch in Dallas, started the Multicultural Innovation Lab last year. In November, it celebrated the graduation of its first cohort, which included five startups.
Ideal startup candidates for the program also should have raised friends-and-family, angel, or seed rounds of funding, launched a product with demonstrated revenues that shows initial validation of the business model and market opportunity, and a commitment to be based full time at Morgan Stanley’s headquarters in New York City during the program.
