Kimberly-Clark names HSU as new chief executive officer
Michael D. Hsu has been named chief executive officer of the Kimberly-Clark Corp., the Irving-based innovator and leader in personal care products. He assumes the new role on Jan. 1.
Hsu has served as the company’s president and chief operating officer since Jan. 1, 2017, and previously oversaw Kimberly-Clark’s $8 billion North American Personal Care and Consumer Tissue business. He will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors.
He replaces Thomas J. Falk, who will become executive chairman of the board to help ensure a smooth transition, the company said.
Kimberly-Clark’s portfolio of products includes Huggies, Kleenex, Scott, Kotex, Cottonelle, Poise, Depend, Andrex, Pull-Ups, Goodnites, and more.
Purcell takes CEO role at McKinney’s Lifeblue
McKinney-based digital strategy and services company Lifeblue announced that digital strategist and innovator Nicki Purcell has been named its new chief executive officer.
Purcell has a diverse background in executive leadership — media, marketing, sales, product development — and, she specializes in leading companies through digital transformations.
Purcell said she plans to diversify Lifeblue’s menu of client services at Lifeblue, whose mission is to help companies grow their social, cultural, or economic impact on the world. Lifeblue was founded 12 years ago.
“Our ability to build experiences for our clients contributes to a much larger purpose, and the people who work here all have that mission — to be a part of something bigger,” said Purcell, formerly chief digital officer and senior vice president at The Dallas Morning News.
Weitzman names Rosenfeld, Miller as senior vice presidents
Weitzman, the Dallas-based retail-focused commercial real estate brokerage firm, has announced two new senior vice presidents: Matthew Rosenfeld and Gretchen Miller.
Weitzman said that Rosenfeld handles retail tenant representation and acquisition, land sales, building disposition, and investment sales in Dallas-Fort Worth. He focuses on the urban core, where he works on mixed-use and retail redevelopment projects, in addition to representing retailer and restaurant clients. Prior to joining Weitzman, Rosenfeld was a professional golfer and competed on the PGA Tour, Web.com Tour, European Tour, and Asian Tour.
Miller handles retail project leasing, retail tenant representation, and general retail brokerage in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
J&S Audio Visual names Metcalf as COO
Irving-based J&S Audio Visual, which provides creative communications solutions to companies and associations nationwide via the latest technologies, has hired Jason Metcalf as its chief operating officer.
J&S said that Metcalf will concentrate on accelerating growth opportunities for the company, drive organizational scale and improve business efficiency and results.
Ashford owns an 85-percent interest in J&S Audio Visual, and provides global asset management, investment management, and related services in the hospitality and real estate sectors.
Polk will lead new women’s business center
Marketing entrepreneur Tarsha Polk has been selected to lead the LiftFund Dallas/Fort Worth Women’s Business Center, a new U.S. Small Business Administration resource center aimed to serve the needs of businesswomen in North Texas.
The center will provide business education, consultations, training, and mentorship for women and minorities in the region.
Polk brings more than 20 years of entrepreneurial, marketing, corporate training, and sales experience to her new role at the center, which just opened earlier this year.
PlainsCapital Bank announces four promotions
Dallas-based PlainsCapital Bank — which has been incorporating new technologies like consoles at drive-thru terminals that allow customers to video conference with a remote teller — announced four promotions to help the company execute its long-range growth strategies in North Texas.
Brent Raindl has been appointed as Dallas Region Chairman and will focus on optimizing PlainsCapital’s commercial banking relationships in the Dallas market.
Robb Eggemeyer has been named executive vice president and lending officer at the PlainsCapital Bank Preston Center, where he succeeds Raindl.
Chris DeFrancisco is now executive vice president and lending officer at PlainsCapital Bank Gaston, Baylor University Medical Center, while Brett Butler has been named executive vice president and lending officer and PlainsCapital Bank Frisco Legacy.
PlainsCapital is the sixth largest Texas-headquartered bank by deposit market share and operates more than 60 branches with more than 1,200 employees.
Cicero Group names principals to lead new Dallas office
National consulting firm Cicero Group has expanded into the Dallas-Fort Worth market and announced that firm principals Catherine Jaynes and Kerri Briggs will lead the office. Both have experience working at the George W. Bush Institute.
Cicero’s new office is at 5501 Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway, Suite 890.
Cicero Group said in a release that it will continue to develop partnerships in Texas that build on its social impact efforts to improve the operations and outcomes of mission-driven organizations.
The firm also brings expertise in core management consulting offerings, such as market research, business transformation, and education.
