MEDHAB RAISES $914.7K IN EQUITY FUNDING ROUND

Mansfield-based MedHab LLC said in a new regulatory filing that it has raised $914,770 of a $3 million equity funding round.

Founded by Johnny Ross in 2008, MedHab is a device company specializing in the development and delivery of wearable devices employing remote technology. It has developed three wearable products specific to three individual markets, including health care, wellness, and sports performance, according to the company’s website.

Earlier this year, MedHab introduced its wearable fall detection technology called MyNotifi, which aims to mitigate the dangers associated with falling.

“MedHab is currently raising a Series E round of funding. To date, we have raised $1.5 million of the $3 million round,” Ross told Dallas Innovates via email. “The funds from this round will be used in three main buckets…marketing, developmental, and sustaining engineering, and business operations.”

MyNotifi is gaining traction, Ross said.

“Both AARP and AMAC have vetted MyNotifi and approved us to advertise through their channels. Comfortkeepers, one of the largest caregiver organizations in the U.S., has agreed to be a reseller of MyNotifi by offering to their customer base,” Ross told Dallas Innovates. “The National Stroke Association has also agreed to a collaborative effort to promote MyNotifi to their customers.”

Ross said MedHab soon hopes to close deals with the National Parkinson’s Foundation and with Right At Home.

“Last week, HSN informed us that they would like us on their network in mid to late September,” Ross said. “These are significant accomplishments to which we are both very proud and honored.”

According to the filing, the minimum investment in the round is $6,000.
