Dallas-based ROKA Sports Inc. has raised $17.75 million of a $21.32 million offering, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The filing did not specify for what the funding would be used. The total leaves $3.57 million remaining in the offering.

ROKA Sports designs high-performance swimwear and biking suits for competitive athletes, including olympians and triathletes, and introduced an eyewear collection in late 2016.

The company also announced the signing of professional cyclist Dan Martin, an Irish veteran who finished sixth at last year’s Tour de France. Martin is the first UCI World Tour rider to test and wear the company’s new Advanced Performance for Extreme Conditions (A.P.EX) eyewear, ROKA said in a release.

The company was founded by Rob Canales and Kurt Spenser in 2013 out of a garage in Austin and now has its corportate headquarters in the Design District of Dallas.

Last year, ROKA signed a four-year partnership with British Triathlon as the event’s official swim category sponsor.
