Local fitness studios are coming together to sweat for a cause during FITWeek, an annual event that is coming to Dallas May 1-6 to support education.
All proceeds will benefit Reading Partners North Texas and She’s the First.
Reading Partners North Texas has been providing one-on-one tutoring at low-income schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since 2012. The program focuses on giving students individualized attention and teaching them learning and life skills, according to the nonprofit’s website.
She’s the First, on the other hand, is a global organization that provides scholarships for girls in low-income countries.
Both nonprofits work toward one goal: providing education to those with less access. By participating in the FITWeek events ranging from pilates to boxing, people can support their mission while staying active.
Participating gyms in the Dallas area include Paradigm, BEYOND 500, CorePower Yoga Mockingbird, One Lagree, Vital Fitness at The Eye, and TITLE Boxing Uptown.
For more information and to participate, call the local fitness studios directly. To donate and support Reading Partners and She’s the First, visit FITWeek’s website.
