One’s person’s trash could be another person’s trashion. What’s trashion? It’s Trash + Fashion, and the city of Fort Worth is celebrating it at the Trashion Fashion Show at Trinity Park on March 28.
Hosted by Keep Fort Worth Beautiful, the Trashion Fashion Show encourages participants to create clothing or accessories using reclaimed, reused, or discarded materials. Entries must be at least 50% trash or recyclable materials. The deadline for entries is March 25.
To enter, snap a picture of your creation and submit your design to KFWB via the Trashion Fashion Contest form. You can showcase your design by wearing it, asking friends or family to wear it, or just taking a picture of it.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place winners in two categories: 17 and under and 18 and over. Enter as an individual or as a team of no more than five members. Additional honorable mentions will be awarded for most reused material, most creative material, and the most varied materials.
All participants are invited to the 2026 Earth Party to work the catwalk and show off their designs at Trinity Park, following Cowtown Cleanup on March 28.
For Cowtown Cleanup from 8 to 11 a.m. on March 28, volunteers can choose any public area or KFWB hub location across the city that is important to them. Public areas can include school campuses, parks, city streets, and neighborhoods.
Hub locations include Marion Samson Park, Carter Park, Calmont Park, Patricia LeBlanc Park, Eugene McCray Park, and Gateway Park. A waterway-only cleanup is available at the White Settlement Trailhead hub.
Then, come to Earth Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Trinity Park Pavilion #4 at 2001 University Drive, Fort Worth, next to Dream Park Playground, and enjoy the Trashion Fashion Show and other festivities.
