Shermco Industries, a leading provider of electrical testing, engineering and design, commissioning, maintenance, and repair services, has acquired Power Quality Engineering (PQE). The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1996 and based in Cedar Park, Texas, PQE has a strong track record for excellence in electrical system design and engineering, commissioning, and maintenance services. The company serves such key sectors as data centers, semiconductors, healthcare, water/wastewater, and commercial facilities.
“PQE’s experienced team brings exceptional technical expertise and represents a strong cultural fit with Shermco’s Southeast engineering platform,” Phil Petrocelli, CEO of Shermco, said in a statement. “This partnership advances our strategic growth plan by expanding electrical engineering services, and delivering integrated solutions across electrical system maintenance, engineering, and specialized testing. By combining the strengths of Shermco and PQE, customers will gain access to deeper technical experts, broader geographic reach, and a more comprehensive suite of high-value services.”
The acquisition reinforces Shermco’s key services, expands its footprint in Central Texas, and supports its strategic expansion in the rapidly growing data center market, the company said. By bringing together PQE’s deep technical expertise and long-standing customer relationships with Shermco’s national scale and broad service platform, the combined team is poised to be the region’s premier provider of power systems engineering and NETA field services, the company added.
“PQE has built its reputation on technical excellence and trusted relationships in mission-critical markets,” said PQE Founder Vanessa Bloom. “Partnering with Shermco gives our customers access to broader capabilities and greater scale, while preserving the culture and commitment to quality that define PQE. We’re excited for what this means for our team and for Central Texas.”
