Abstract: A pedal touch anomaly notification system for a vehicle is provided. The system includes the vehicle itself, and at least one sensor configured to capture information about the position or orientation of the driver”s foot relative to a control pedal of the vehicle. A processor uses the captured information, as well as a database containing baseline information and variance information about expected positions or orientations of the driver”s foot relative to the control pedal. Based on the captured information, the processor determines the position or orientation of the foot of the driver relative to the control pedal, and compares the determined position or orientation to the baseline information and variance information. If the position or orientation fall outside the variance information, the processor generates a driver alert.

Abstract: The seed crystal chamber 142 may be located closer to the cold plate 112 than the mold chamber 137. The seed crystal chamber 142 may facilitate formation of a seed ice crystal from which the clear ice may form. By taking advantage of the lower thermal conductivity of water as compared to ice or aluminum, the seed crystal chamber 142 may further discourage the water in the mold chamber 137 from sub cooling and flash freezing as the seed crystal is being formed. Flash freezing occurs when water is subcooled below its freezing point and then exposed to an ice crystal, which causes the subcooled water to rapidly freeze. The seed crystal chamber 142 may promote directional freezing in the mold chamber 137, which promotes clear ice. Thermal conductivity of ice is higher than that of water, which may facilitate freezing from the seed crystal chamber 142 up through the mold chamber 137 once the seed crystal is formed.

Patent No. 12445433
Inventor(s): Brandon Krouse (Frisco, TX)
Assignee(s): Capital One Services, LLC (McLean, VA)
Law Firm: Banner Witcoff, Ltd. (3 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 18631620 on 04/10/2024 (552 days app to issue)
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for management of a Domain Name System (DNS) system. The system comprises numerous improvements, many related to CNAME records of the DNS. A computing device may manage authentication for a DNS using shared authentication credentials of a first authentication framework. In this manner, a wide variety of users might authenticate themselves using a first framework and use authentication credentials for a second framework to access a DNS. The computing device may further protect DNS servers from Denial of Service (DOS) attacks by bifurcating read and write requests to a DNS to different servers, such that attacks on read requests do not affect all of the DNS. The computing device may further validate DNS requests using, for example, natural language processing to avoid typographical errors inadvertently creating DNS zones.

Abstract: Aspects provided herein provide methods, systems, and a non-transitory computer storage medium storing computer instructions for network aware optimal route selection for autonomous user equipment (UE) in a network. The method begins with identifying an initial route based on a mapping mechanism. An example is entering a start and ending point for a delivery using an autonomous UE. After an initial route is identified operator defined geospatial hex bins and base stations along the initial route are identified. Further identifying operations include identifying at least one flow quality of service (QoS) value that comprises a priority of at least one service and identifying at least one geospatial hex bin and associated node with a QoS value greater than an operator defined threshold. Those geospatial hex bins are then marked and excluded from the route of the autonomous UE and a revised route is transmitted to the autonomous UE.

Law Firm: Plumsea Law Group, LLC (1 non-local offices)
Application No., Date, Speed: 18161513 on 01/30/2023 (988 days app to issue)
Abstract: A system and method provide a two-way pager system. Members use pager systems to communicate in situations where they lack power or access to other modes of communication. For example, the pagers have a switching system that allows users to broadcast information about their current situation in an emergency. For example, the system could use switches that could be set to three different settings. Separate switches could be used for different categories of resources required in an emergency, and the switches could take on settings that represent resource requirements and availability. A centralized system listens for pages from users” pagers that transmit the switch settings for the categories. The centralized system then determines which users lack certain resources, which users have sufficient resources, and which users need certain resources. The system then transmits information through the pager network to inform users where to find resources that they are lacking.

Abstract: The present application provides a method and a device in a communication node for wireless communications. A communication node receives a first signaling; sets contents of a second message at a first moment; transmits a first radio signal, the first radio signal comprises the second message; at a second moment, as a response to not receiving a third message, determines performing a first procedure; the first signaling is used to determine a first time length; the second message comprises link maintenance related information; the third message is triggered by the second message; the second moment is after the first moment and its interval with the first moment is a second time length. Aiming at the problem of increased delay brought by relay communications, the present application proposes a scheme for delaying a determination of a first procedure to avoid triggering the first procedure to early.
