Fintech pioneer Bill Harris—the former CEO of PayPal and Intuit, and the founding CEO of Personal Capital—has launched a new registered investment advisory called Evergreen Wealth. Headquartered in Miami, the company is also launching with an office in Plano, led by Evergreen’s head of sales.
Evergreen provides tax-aware investment management and AI-powered financial advice to affluent and high-net-worth clients seeking to build long-term wealth, the firm said.
“We combine human expertise with AI analytics to create a new model for financial advice,” founder and CEO Harris said in a statement. “It’s the best of both worlds—experienced advisors plus advanced technology.”
Harris previously co-founded Redwood City, California-based Personal Capital, an online financial advisor and personal wealth management company, which he grew to $23 billion in assets, Evergreen said.
Evergreen says that while many financial advisors and investment firms still focus on pre-tax returns, it seeks to maximize its clients’ net returns a”fter paying the tax bill.” Unlike ETFs and mutual funds, where every fundholder receives the same cookie-cutter product, the firm’s “Dynamic Portfolios” contain hundreds of individual securities, which can then be hyper-personalized to match the goals of each client and tax-optimized across their entire portfolio, the firm added.
Evergreen’s tax strategies include direct indexing, aimed at offsetting, reducing, deferring, or, in some cases, even eliminating the taxes on investments. For high-income taxpayers, particularly those in high-tax states, this “tax alpha” can be more consequential than the expected gains, if any, from trying to beat the market, the company said.
Trillions poised to transfer between generations
Evergreen noted that the U.S. wealth management market holds over $144.6 trillion in assets, with $124 trillion projected to transfer between generations by 2048. The company says it’s launching in a landscape where competitors use “outdated technology.”
“Younger, affluent investors want more than traditional products and quarterly meetings—more than half don’t want their parents’ advisors,” Harris said. “They demand sophisticated tax and investment services, available on their schedule. We built Evergreen Wealth for this generation of investors.”
Plano-based sales team
Evergreen’s sales team is based in Plano and led by Head of Sales Andrew Leneve. An industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience at Fisher Investments, Leneve has led large organizations across both client service and sales.

Evergreen said it aims to hire an additional 20 to 40 people in the Dallas-Ft Worth area within the next two to three years, as it continues to scale.

Evergreen Wealth’s advisors are fiduciaries who utilize in-depth research provided by Evergreen Intelligence, the company’s financial knowledge base, and agentic AI tools to deliver personalized advice to their clients.
The company said Evergreen Intelligence’s “hyper-personalized insights” are also available on demand to its clients directly through desktop and mobile apps. Based on their financial information, each client receives personalized insights and advice, which is maintained in a private data vault to prevent exposure to any AI models on the open internet, Evergreen added.
