Frisco-based entertainment team Dude Perfect is partnering with Regal Cinemas to screen “Dude Perfect: The Hero Tour,” a brand-new, immersive film experience designed for families and superfans alike.

An international release is scheduled in hundreds of theaters and will kick off with a premiere in Los Angeles before launching worldwide from Sept. 26 through Oct. 9.

“Our fans are the heartbeat of everything we do,” Dude Perfect’s Coby Cotton said in a statement. “We heard from so many families who couldn’t make it to the tour, and we wanted to create something just as epic for them. ‘Dude Perfect: The Hero Tour’ is our way of saying, ‘If you can’t come to us, we’ll bring the show to you—bigger, louder, and with a few surprises you won’t see anywhere else.'”

Offering tour access and behind-the-scenes moments

Dude Perfect said the project was created in direct response to “overwhelming fan demand” following the group’s sold-out 20-city live tour. The film is said to deliver the group’s signature energy and humor along with never-before-seen behind-the-scenes moments and guest-star cameos.

In addition to the action-packed battles and comedic segments that make up the group’s live show, Dude Perfect said that audiences can expect cinematic highlights from the tour, and exclusive backstage access that capture the spirit of Dude Perfect’s digital DNA. With 20 stops, the live tour reached only 18 of the top 50 U.S. media markets, so the film gives fans and families across the country and the world “a new way to connect.”

‘Eventized’ theatrical experience

Dude Perfect said the film came together rapidly in just over two months, highlighting the group’s ability to “move quickly, experiment boldly, and meet fan demand with high-quality experiences delivered at scale.”

“Launching a movie version of our tour to theaters is a great example of how we’re continuing to test new ways to bring the Dude Perfect experience to more families,” said Dude Perfect CEO Andrew Yaffe. “We believe that sports and friendly competition drive human connection, and our tour, and the tens of thousands of screaming families who attended, is proof of that. Regal’s large network and commitment to innovation make it an ideal partner for this creator-first, “eventized” theatrical experience, Dude Perfect said.

Regal will serve as the distributor with Variance Films, and will also exhibit the film alongside AMC, Cinemark, and other circuits.
