Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café Flipping Into Southlake and McKinney

Founded in Houston in 2012 with a mission "to revive the art of eating crepes," Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café has grown to 17 locations in three states and Mexico. Now a French-American husband-and-wife team has signed on to bring four locations to Dallas-Fort Worth, starting with one at McKinney's West Grove Shopping Center. A Southlake location had already been slated by to open this fall.

Houston-based Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café—which operates 17 locations in Texas, Florida, Minnesota and Mexico—is expanding further into North Texas thanks to a French-American husband-and-wife team.

The couple, Ludo and Yi Le Gall, have operated the Sweet Paris location at Baybrook Mall in the Houston suburb of Friendswood since 2020. Now they’re bringing the restaurant brand, known for its sweet and savory crêpes, hot drinks, and more, to 8701 West University Drive in McKinney’s West Grove Shopping Center. The location is slated to open in Spring 2025.

The news follows an earlier announcement that Sweet Paris is opening a location at Southlake Town Center in Southlake this fall, via an agreement with strategic partners Edward and Cynthia Hymes and their son Edward.

The Le Galls have signed a four-unit agreement that will see them follow up on their McKinney location with three others in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Sweet Paris noted.

“My wife and I love crepes, and coming from France, we wanted to share a piece of our home and culture with our Texas community,” Ludo Le Gall said in a statement. “Having a limited background in the restaurant industry, we turned to a strategic partnership that would support us as we navigated the unknown. We’re very lucky and grateful to have a strong franchisor support team behind us. We’ve fallen in love with the industry and are eager to continue to share Sweet Paris with more communities.”

Sweet Paris also recently announced its entrance into Arizona: a Scottsdale Quarter location is slated to open this fall. The restaurant brand was founded in 2012 by Ivan and Allison Chavez with a mission “to revive the art of eating crepes.”
