Erik Moss has been named the new director of Water Cooler at Pegasus Park, a community of social impact, nonprofit, and philanthropic tenants at the Dallas life sciences and innovation development. His appointment was announced by The Dallas Foundation and Lyda Hill Philanthropies.

In his new role, Moss will spearhead efforts to foster collaboration and community engagement among the diverse organizations based at Water Cooler, a collaboration of Lyda Hill Philanthropies, J. Small Investments, and The Dallas Foundation.

Roughly 150,000 square feet at Pegasus Park is dedicated to the social impact hub, offering flexible office space at subsidized rent, access to philanthropic funds for furniture and infrastructure, and free or low-cost amenities and services designed to accelerate their respective missions.

Helped raise millions

Moss has more than 12 years of experience in the social sector, bringing a wealth of knowledge in relationship management and program development, particularly in areas that enhance community impact, The Dallas Foundation and Lyda Hill Philanthropies said.

He’s shown a strong commitment to tackling systemic issues, including poverty and education, which align with the mission of The Dallas Foundation, Lyda Hill Philanthropies, and many nonprofits housing within the Water Cooler, they added.

Moss worked most recently with Dallas’s Child Poverty Action Lab, where he was chief of staff. In that role, Moss provided critical counsel on organizational management and strategy, positioning the organization for successful fundraising campaigns and initiatives aimed at economic mobility.

Under Moss’ leadership, the team successfully raised millions for a long-term community-wide strategy, significantly contributing to the organization’s growth in net assets.

At the Water Cooler, Moss will serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, fostering community through events and collaborative opportunities. He also will manage relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring that both tenants and leadership are well-informed and engaged in ongoing initiatives.
