Longtime industry executive Scott Lowe has returned to The Beck Group as chief revenue officer of the Dallas-based leader in integrated design-build services.
“Thinking about the future of Beck, I’m filled with great optimism,” Beck Group CEO Fred Perpall said in a statement. “Adding Scott Lowe to our team builds upon that. He’s a high-caliber leader with a remarkable 20-year track record in our industry. His leadership will strengthen our opportunities, growth, and success ahead.”
Lowe worked at Beck from 1998 to 2005. He left the firm to co-found Dallas-based 5G Studio Collaborative, where he became CEO and led its expansion and growth until 2023.
“I’m thrilled to be back at Beck and play a role in expanding our architecture and design-build practice for long-term growth,” Lowe said in a statement. “With its impressive portfolio and commitment to innovation, Beck is prime to deliver more outstanding projects for clients here and abroad.”
CRO role is a new one at Beck
The chief revenue officer role is a new one at Beck, and is designed to maximize and grow the firm’s architectural and design-build services across its nine U.S. and Mexico-based offices.
Since expanding to include design-build and architecture practices in 1999, Beck said it has experienced impressive growth. The firm recently completed designing and constructing the new mixed-use development at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta. The project features a five-star Nobu Hotel and Restaurant, a 13-story Class A Office Tower, and an anchor building with a Life Time Fitness location.
Beck said its other notable projects include reimagining the Mexico City Campus for Tecnológico de Monterrey after the devastating 2017 earthquake. Locally, Beck is the designer-builder of Old Parkland’s new East Campus, which topped out earlier this year.
The Beck Group said it is a collaborative team of architects, builders, and technology experts transforming how its clients design and build.
The century-old firm is the largest design-build firm in the U.S., with 1,000 employees in nine offices across the U.S. and Mexico.
