In November, we told you about the planned 1876 Country Club in Celina. Last August, we told you about Celina approving a plan for a development with 300 tiny homes and 1,300 apartments. Last February, we told you the 150-acre Ranch at Uptown Celina featuring a planned 450-plus homes. This week, the suburb north of Prosper and Frisco got even hotter.
Hillwood Communities announced its fourth master-planned development in Celina, one of the fastest-growing areas in North Texas. Ramble by Hillwood is planned just north of downtown Celina, with 4,000 homes slated to “wind through an immersive nature experience” a short drive from Frisco and McKinney in Collin County.
According to the Dallas Morning News’ Steve Brown, Hillwood bought the 1,380-acre Eland Ranch as the setting for the development.
“To be able to control 4,000 lots in this market gives us a nice runway to do the things we like to do with these big master-planned communities,” Balda told the DMN.
Ramble will stretch from Preston Road to Custer Road, two miles north of downtown Celina. Phase 1 will deliver 700 homes from premier DFW builders American Legend Homes, Coventry Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes, and Perry Homes, Hillwood said.
The project includes a planned four-mile greenbelt of activated parks, open spaces, and lakes, offering families “an immersive nature experience.”
An additional 18 acres have been designated for future multifamily, and 64 acres for commercial and retail space, Hillwood added.
Ramble will break ground in late 2024, with a projected grand opening in late 2025.
