GEW North Texas—which kicked off Sunday and runs through Sunday November 19—is part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, held in cities worldwide one week each November. The movement aims to inspire entrepreneurs around the globe while fostering connections and increasing collaboration within their ecosystems.
A long list of events are being held across North Texas all week long, including innovative panels, startup showcases, skill-building workshops, networking opportunities, and more.
Just a few of many to note: Women Entrepreneurs Dallas, a signature program created by Capital One and The DEC Network, is holding its WEDallas Business Showcase + Pitch event Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Capital One Conference Center in Plano.
On Thursday at 3 p.m., a panel on The Emerging Industry of Research and Technology in North Texas will be presented at the UT Arlington Research Institute in Fort Worth. Speakers will include Trey Bowles, managing director of Techstars Physical Health Fort Worth; BioNTX CEO Kathleen Otto; and HSC NEXT Director Adrian Denvir.
For the second year in a row, GEW NTX will wrap up with Techstars’ Startup Weekend Fort Worth November 17-19. Hosted by Tarrant County College at its Trinity River East campus, the 54-hour event is “an exciting and immersive foray into the world of startups over an action-packed three days.” Participant tickets are available through 11 p.m. Friday; spectators can snag tickets to the pitch day on Sunday.
