The City of Dallas will recognize Digital Inclusion Week from October 2-6 with activities across the city.

Digital Inclusion Week is an annual initiative hosted by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance to raise awareness of digital equity and access throughout the county. Hundreds of organizations, advocates, and elected officials participate to help spotlight programs to improve home internet access, provide devices, offer digital skills training, and more.

Dallas joins the alliance’s national awareness campaign with activities hosted by the Dallas Public Library, Dallas Innovation Alliance, Office of Arts and Culture, and community partners including one-on-one tech help sessions, digital skills classes, coding workshops for kids, and art contests.

Monday, October 2

Job Search Assistance and More: CARDBoard Project is here to help connect residents to job search assistance, housing resources, access to essentials and more. Stop by for a one-on-one session every Tuesday on the 6th floor and every Thursday on the first floor. This partnership is in collaboration with the CARDBoard Project and Downtown Dallas Inc. Computer Basics: Library staff is available to provide one-on-one instruction on topics like learning to type and using a mouse, “Getting Started on a Computer,” “Internet for Beginners,” and “Email for Beginners.” The computer sessions are for one hour. (Em)powerment Pop-up: A new initiative created through a partnership between the CARDboard Project and Dallas Innovation Alliance.
