Tim Love is far more than a celebrity chef with restaurant concepts Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, White Elephant Saloon, Love Shack, Atico, Paloma Suerte, Caterina’s all under his belt. In the last 18 months alone, the Fort Worth entrepreneur has also launched into hospitality with the micro-resort Hotel Otto, cranked up the new music venue Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall, and inaugurated the first annual Fort Worth Music Festival.
Now—after previous partnerships with Longines, Dickies, and Sur la Table and dropping limited-release workwear pieces and kitchen essentials through his e-commerce shop Love Bodega—Love is spreading the love again for Western-loving fashionistas.
On Friday, Love announced the debut line of the Love Collection, a premium limited edition, domestically made apparel and accessory brand that’s hit the shelves in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards at Goods and Chattels in the Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall lounge. It’s also offered online at Cheftimlove.com.
‘Timeless, laid-back luxury clothing and apparel’
The Love Collection features “timeless, laid-back luxury clothing and apparel designed to effortlessly coordinate with one another, catering to creatives and entrepreneurs who share the same ambition for life and career as Love himself,” the entrepreneur announced.
“I love cooking and hospitality to my core because it’s about caring for people and giving them the best possible experience,” Love said in a statement. “But I will never let one idea of who I am or what I can produce limit my imagination. Within the past few years, I’ve decided to double down on my creativity and take on projects I feel most passionate about. The Love Collection is just the next evolution of that.”
Rooted in the spirit of the West, the collection embodies the quality and heritage of Texas while infusing modern details and the signature style of its creator, the company says. Like every other concept under the Love umbrella, it’s meant to celebrate heritage while reimagining it with a pioneering vision.
Partnered with Marcus Hall, founder of Marc Nelson Denim
To bring the line to life, Love partnered with long-time collaborator and friend Marcus Hall, designer and founder of small-batch craft denim brand Marc Nelson Denim. Focused on craftsmanship and high-quality denim, Hall’s current factory is in Knoxville, Tennessee, in the home of a longtime Levi’s factory where his family and friends once worked.
A look that’s all about ‘confidence’
Love says his new line is about more than clothes or fashion: “It’s about confidence.”
“As an entrepreneur, I have to walk confidently into any room and be ready for what’s ahead, whether making deals, cooking dinners, leading my team, or developing new concepts,” he said in the statement. “After two decades of building businesses, I know feeling confident and comfortable has a lot to do with how successful my day will be; that starts with what I wear. It’s about having long-lasting, dependable pieces in my wardrobe with the perfect fit that I can mix and match to fit my own style. The Love Collection are staple pieces for confident folks to make their own for whatever situation life brings them.”
Blazing trails for 25 years in a variety of industries
Over the last quarter century, Love’s career has taken him from a single restaurant to culinary concepts nationwide, celebrity chef status, and a track record of providing “elevated dining” to music festivals worldwide.
The Love Collection retail store is located in the heart of Fort Worth’s Mule Alley, where Love has deep roots including his Stockyards concepts Lonesome Dove Western Bistro, White Elephant Saloon, Love Shack, Atico, Paloma Suerte, Caterina’s, and the newly opened Tannahill’s.
Rooted in Texas Western sensibility and workwear aesthetics, many pieces have a unisex functionality, according to Love,” making them perfect for anyone who wants to add a touch of Texas style to their wardrobe.”
The line is launching with Love Connection T-shirts, boot-cut jeans with a LOVE backpatch, aprons with natural webbing straps, denim and canvas trucker jackets, women’s jeans, and women’s shorts, bandannas, and a weekender bag. The collection will also develop limited-edition pieces each season.
