Sabre names McDonald, Iyer as vice presidents

Abdul-Razzaq Iyer

Southlake-based travel technology provider Sabre Corp. has announced two executive appointments.

Abdul-Razzaq Iyer has been named vice president of the Sabre Travel Network Middle East business, and Sean McDonald has been appointed as vice president of online travel for its Travel Network business.

Iyer joined Sabre in 2008 and has held various position with the company. He will be responsible for increasing Sabre’s footprint in the Middle East, including high-growth markets like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, the company said in a release. Prior to Sabre, Iyer held positions at BNP and Ernst & Young.

McDonald will lead worldwide sales, commercial operations, business development, and solution delivery for online travel agencies, meta-search engines, and other digital travel companies. McDonald will be based in Sabre’s London office.

Moore promoted to president of Ryan International

Brendan Moore

Ryan, a Dallas-based global tax services and software provider, has promoted Brendan Moore to president of Ryan International.

In his new role, Moore will be responsible for growing Ryan’s worldwide business alliances and partnerships, while overseeing existing clients throughout Canada, Australia, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific region. Ryan said that the move coincides with its strategic investments in global growth in the fourth quarter last year.

Ryan co-founder and CEO Brint Ryan made news recently when he gave $30 million to the University of North Texas for the G. Brint Ryan College of Business.

SpotSee promotes Glen to vice president of supply chain

Dale Glen

Dallas’ SpotSee, a provider of shock, vibration, and temperature-monitoring solutions, has promoted Dale Glen to vice president of supply chain.

Previously, Glen was director of supply chain.

In his new role, Glen will be responsible for directing and coordinating supply chain processes, procurement, production, and resource planning. He also will be responsible for costs, personnel, and implementing company policies as they apply to the supply chain.

Aircraft engineering firm GDC Technics names CEO

Brad Foreman has been named chief executive officer of Fort Worth-based GDC Technics, a provider of aircraft engineering, modification, and completion services.

The announcement came at the same time that GDC said it had a new company ownership structure and new partners, Oriole Capital Group, Dallas-based Trive Capital, and MAZ Aviation.

The company is located at Fort Worth Alliance Airport, and has subsidiaries in Germany and the United Kingdom.

Law firm HPY names Helling to lead its Dallas office

Troy Helling

Troy Helling has been appointed partner-in-charge of Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP’s Dallas office, and will be responsible for the management and strategic expansion of the office.

In Dallas, the firm represents prominent individuals at local businesses and corporate clients in a variety of litigation.

HPY’s local office opened in 2003. Its lawyers have defended national clients coast-to-coast, alongside a team of 140 attorneys from offices across the country. The firm has 18 lawyers licensed in Texas.

HPY also has offices in Atlanta, Austin, Charleston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Napa, New York, St. Louis, and San Francisco.

Lane named CFO at Medical City Fort Worth

Andrew Lane

Andrew Lane has been named as chief financial officer at Medical City Fort Worth.

Since July 2017, Lane, a certified public accountant, was vice president of finance at Medical City Plano and Medical City Frisco.

Before Plano, he was a controller and internal auditor at other Hospital Corporation of America facilities. HCA owns Medical City.
