Varidesk, the Coppell company that makes the ubiquitous standing desks we see in many offices, has been named the fastest growing privately held company in the area in the annual Dallas 100 ranking.
For the past 26 years, the ranking is done by Southern Methodist University’s Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship as a way to note the fastest growing companies in DFW.
The Dallas Morning News reported that Varidesk’s percentage sales increase and dollar growth from 2013 to 2015 placed it atop the group of 250 companies examined for the list.
The Morning News reported that the SMU releases just its ranking, not the underlying data.
The newspaper said that last summer, Varidesk CEO Jason McCann told it that the company has sold hundreds of thousands of standing desks costing $175 to $995 in more than 100 countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia and South Korea.
Second on the list was Arcis Golf of Dallas, a private and public golf clubs operator.
