Returning for its fourth year, Dallas pop-up shop Unbranded will be back in downtown Dallas once again — this time under new management.
Matt Alexander of Q Fifty One Digital and Bryan DeLuca of Foot Cardigan created Unbranded in 2014 to promote local startups and give the Dallas community a way to buy more personalized gifts in time for Christmas.
After their first successful year in Deep Ellum, they partnered with Downtown Dallas Inc. and have been in downtown ever since. Now, Alexander and DeLuca have decided to hand over the reins to their partners.
“Over the years, DDI has been a phenomenal partner for Unbranded,” Alexander said in a release. “With Bryan and I running our own full-time companies, the DDI team stepped up, identified amazing spaces, and coordinated much of the day-to-day. Now, with Bryan and I remaining busy, we felt it would be the perfect time to formally hand over the reigns of this project to our partners at DDI.”
DeLuca and Alexander will continue to help in the selection of vendors and will create a weekly gift guide showcasing their favorite items from vendors, according to a release.
“We’re excited to be taking on full responsibility for Unbranded this year,” Shalissa Perry, DDI chief marketing officer, said in the release. “It’s been a thrill to watch vendors graduate from Unbranded participants to full-scale retailers in Dallas and beyond.”
Located in the historic Dallas Power & Light Building, Unbranded 2017 will open its doors Thursdays through Saturdays from Nov. 30 through Dec. 16. There will be eight new vendors each week and there also will be free gift wrapping, Wi-Fi, coffee, drinks, and more.
Vendors may apply for rent-free space by Nov. 6. Unbranded will take no business sales from the profits.
