TriCelta Development Opens New HQ in North Texas

TriCelta Founder and CEO Jake Zwaagstra's portfolio includes projects at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, Oklahoma; The Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino in Las Vegas; and the Signature at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Now his "boutique firm with outsize impact" has a new home at Watters Creek Village in Allen.

TriCelta Development, a real estate development and owner’s representative firm founded in 2019, has opened its new 4,000 square-foot headquarters in Allen’s Watters Creek Village.

TriCelta specializes in hospitality, gaming, and mixed-use projects “of all scales,” serving clients throughout the Southwest and beyond. The Watters Creek office will serve as a home base for its team amid ongoing growth, providing “a physical space for connection and collaboration within a vibrant mixed-use environment,” the company said.

“Putting down roots here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area is a significant step for our company,” said Jake Zwaagstra, Founder and CEO. “I founded TriCelta Development with a vision of providing superior service to project owners. With space to collaborate, host client meetings, and perform heads-down work, this new office will empower our staff to deliver on that promise.”

Casino projects a specialty

According to TriCelta’s website, Zwaagstra’s portfolio encompasses “over $5 billion in projects completed under his direct management,” including projects at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, Oklahoma; The Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino in Las Vegas; and the Signature at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

There’s not much casino gambling going on in Allen, of course, but the company had other reasons for continuing its presence in the region.

“With how much growth we’re witnessing in Collin County, finding a space in Watters Creek made sense for our needs,” Zwaagstra said. “It’s a walkable, mixed-use area that is the perfect place to engage with our community while supporting our clients, partners, and employees.”

Calling itself “a boutique firm with outsize impact,” TriCelta says it’s dedicated to advocating for project stakeholders by mitigating risk and delivering on cost, schedule, and quality. The company offers financial, managerial, and evaluative services including owner’s representation, design-build evaluation, master planning, schedule development, vendor evaluation, budget development, and value engineering.
