…on the grand opening of Southwire’s Dallas Fort Worth Customer Service Center in AllianceTexas.
When North America’s leading wire and cable company invests in a nearly 1.2 million square foot facility, it’s a statement. Southwire, an $8 billion company with over 9,000 global team members, officially opened its newest and largest distribution center with a ribbon cutting and tour last week.
Southwire leaders at the Dallas Fort Worth Customer Service Center in AllianceTexas hosted about 150 business leaders and stakeholders, showing off the center’s advanced industrial design, modernized storage solutions, and automated material handling. The new center is set to employ 250 team members who will oversee the distribution of Southwire’s full product suite, from commercial and residential to utility and industrial solutions.
As Rich Stinson, Southwire’s president and CEO, put it: “This facility is a true reflection of our ongoing modernization efforts and our relentless commitment to providing the very best customer experience.” It’s part of a broader $1.5 billion investment across Southwire’s footprint, aimed at boosting efficiency, competitiveness, and growth capacity.
“We look forward to Southwire growing with us,” Perot said in a statement, hinting at the continued expansion of AllianceTexas as a hub for innovative industrial spaces.
“We’ve owned this land for 30 years,” he added, “and I can’t think of a better client to have on it than Southwire.” Perot, whose Hillwood developed the 27,000-acre AllianceTexas, noted that about 70,000 people come to work there daily.
