Giving is going gangbusters across North Texas today—because it’s North Texas Giving Day, the 16th annual event presented by the Communities Foundation of Texas. More than 3,300 nonprofits from 20 local counties are participating, with 100% of donations going to support over 25 cause areas. It’s the largest community-wide giving event in the U.S., and it’s centered around this website, where you can browse, search, and even take a quiz about causes you care about. As of 3:15 p.m. today, over $43 million has been raised—and you can add to that total by donating before midnight tonight.

The event actually began on Sept. 1, when “early online giving” opened in the runup to today’s big Giving Day. During last year’s event, more than 97,000 donors gave over $60 million, for a total of $566 million donated since North Texas Giving Day was launched in 2009.

This year, donors have taken to Instagram to post their love for the causes they care about most, with the tag #NTXShareYourCare. For details on how to post a video or pic, you can go here
