Graduate online programs in education and nursing and bachelor’s online programs in business at Texas Woman’s University in Denton have been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as being among the nation’s best.
The publication’s 2025 “Best Online Programs” edition offers rankings in a variety of categories.
U.S. News’ rankings take into account several factors, and all of its methodologies incorporate metrics that measure how well programs are designed for distance learners and their effectiveness at awarding affordable degrees in a reasonable time frame, TWU said.
The online graduate programs in education at Texas Woman’s were ranked in the top quartile of all university online graduate education programs in the country ― and seventh out of 25 ranked Texas institutions, TWU said.
Among specific metrics in which graduate education programs were assessed, TWU ranked 33rd nationally for “Services and Technologies” and 58th for “Student Excellence.”
The university’s online graduate programs in nursing were ranked among the top half of similar programs in the country. And the online bachelor’s programs in business were ranked in the top half among the nation’s undergraduate business programs, TWU said.
TWU’s Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business and Entrepreneurship made the publication’s list of the nation’s best online MBA programs.
TWU said that for its 2025 edition, U.S. News & World Report assessed almost 1,800 online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at regionally accredited institutions.
