Amazon’s Zoox Is Bringing Toaster-Shaped Robotaxis to Dallas

Acquired by Amazon for $1.2 billion in 2020, Zoox offers carriage-style robotaxis with facing bench seats. There's no real "front" or "back"—these bidirectional EVs can change directions at will. Inside you'll find wireless charging, cupholders, seat belts, and customized air bags. But first, the rollout will begin with manual mapping by Zoox's SUV testing fleet.
