As State Plans $2.5B in Film Incentives, Next Week’s Texas Production Expo Could Be Biggest One Yet

A month after the Texas state senate approved $2.5 billion to attract film and TV shoots over the next decade, the Texas Production Expo in Grapevine will enable artists, technicians, and filmmakers to "engage with the latest trends, share industry insights, and expand their networks."

In its 2023 session, the Texas Legislature approved appropriations of $200 million for incentives to attract film production in the Lone Star State. The state is trying to compete with states like Georgia, who've gone full tilt to lure Hollywood productions to the local economy.
