Southwest Airlines Names Former Hilton Exec as Its First Chief Digital & Marketing Officer

Dallas-based Southwest Airlines just found more ways to keep single-use plastics out of its planes, with cold drink cups made from a 75% bamboo pulp blend and new birch drink stirrers. The moves could reduce the airline's inflight single-use plastics "by more than 1.5 million pounds annually," Southwest said.
