Richardson-based HFR Networks Inc. announced the availability of flexiTester, a handheld device driven by a Smartphone app to field test access wavelengths and services.
HFR is a provider of intelligent xHaul RAN Transport and Edge Access solutions.
The company said that when configuring dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) networks, field engineers must use various pieces of test equipment to validate optical connectivity, a process that is time consuming, cumbersome, and can be dangerous when equipment is located at great heights on top of buildings or towers....
