Apple’s $600B Commitment to Manufacturing in U.S. Includes Several Partner Sites in North Texas

As it announced a new $100 billion commitment to manufacturing in America Monday—for a planned total of $600 billion over the next four years—Apple said a lot of that money will be spent in Sherman, 60 miles north of Dallas. Its partners there include Texas Instruments, GlobalWafers America, and Coherent, which makes the lasers that enable FaceID on iPhones and iPads.
