Called the Collin College Academic Alliance, the innovative partnership will provide area residents with the opportunity to earn an associate degree, seamlessly earn a bachelor’s degree, and save "thousands of dollars," the schools said.
The School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology at the University of Texas at Dallas will now be called the Harry W. Bass Jr. School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology following a $40 million gift to the university from the Harry W. Bass Jr. Foundation. “The impact of this gift cannot be overstated,” says Bass School Dean Dr. Nils Roemer.
The unveiling of Phase I of the O'Donnell Athenaeum, designed by Morphosis Architects, will debut the first of three buildings in the new 12-acre cultural complex at UT Dallas. “I'm thrilled to welcome some of the finest works of art in our city to the new campus museum," said UTD President Richard C. Benson.
The Edith and Peter O’Donnell Jr. Athenaeum will feature three new buildings: a second location for the Crow Museum of Asian Art; a performance hall; and a second museum focused on traditional arts of the Americas. The project's designer, global architectural firm Morphosis, designed the Perot Museum in downtown Dallas.
