At the Global Mission Summit on Oct. 8–10, leaders and innovators are rethinking business—where purpose is infrastructure, profit fuels impact, and legacy means leaving more than returns behind. Behind it are investor Michael Moe and Dallas developer Mike Hoque, and their newly formed Global Mission Institute.
University Hills could ultimately feature a town center, hundreds of single-family homes, around 1,500 apartments, 1.5 million square feet of commercial space, a hotel, a mixed-use stadium, and 50-plus acres of open green space—all near the intersection of I-20 and Lancaster Road and adjacent to UNT at Dallas.
First reported by D CEO, Mike Hoque and Mike Ablon have the iconic 72-story tower and four surrounding city blocks under contract, planning a $350 million redevelopment that includes a luxury hotel, street-level enhancements, and a potential new financial district in downtown Dallas.
Global Silicon Valley’s Michael Moe is teaming up with Hoque Global CEO Mike Hoque on the inaugural SMU+GSV Mission Summit in May. GSV recently moved its headquarters from Northern California to downtown Dallas' historic Adolphus building.
The developer has several projects planned or underway in the downtown Dallas area, including the proposed Cedars mixed-used development SoGood @ Cedars.
