Match Group Promotes Longtime Leader to COO; President to Step Down

Hesam Hosseini has been promoted to chief operating officer of Dallas-based Match Group, effective April 1. Gary Swidler will step down as president on that date and continue as an adviser to the company until July 4. The moves come one month after former Zillow co-founder and CEO Spencer Rascoff was appointed CEO of Match Group.

Match Group CEO Bernard Kim, who took the helm of the online dating giant last year, has named a new executive leadership team and outlined an organizational structure to carry the company into the future. The executive moves include hiring former Snap Inc. VP of product Will Wu as CTO.

Today Dallas-based Match Group tried to do something about it by launching a global public awareness campaign to help daters and consumers "date safer" and "stay protected against the different forms of online fraud."
