Children’s Health, UTSW Break Ground on $5B Dallas Pediatric Campus, Announce $100M Donation from Rees‑Jones Foundation

Children's Health and UT Soutwestern announced that a $100 million gift from The Rees-Jones Foundation will support the construction of the new pediatric campus, just months after the Jean and Mack Pogue family gave its own $100 million gift. This marks the first time in Texas that a not-for-profit construction project has received two individual leadership gifts of $100 million.

The Pogue family's $100M gift announced by UT Southwestern and Children's Health is set to create a world-class pediatric medical hub in Dallas.

The move comes after the Dallas-based company was acquired in February by Toronto's Cadillac Fairview. "Since Mack Pogue founded the company in 1965, the willow tree has been a part of our culture," noted CEO Duncan Osborne. "It was only fitting that this symbol of growth, strength and perseverance guides us as we embark on our next chapter."

Lincoln Residential will continue to be headquartered in Dallas, a spokesperson told Dallas Innovates. As part of the acquisition, Duncan Osborne will succeed long-time CEO Tim Byrne, who is retiring.
