Flytrex, DoorDash Partner on Drone Deliveries From ‘Dozens’ of Restaurants in Frisco and Little Elm

Flytrex has been delivering restaurant food by drone in North Texas since 2022. Now, thanks to a new partnership with DoorDash, it's packing its high-capacity drones with food from "dozens" of local and national restaurants—and flying orders to parts of Frisco and Little Elm. And more DFW sites are coming soon.

PICKUP Now is merging with Connecticut-based Point Pickup Technologies to create a national on-demand last-mile delivery provider for retailers. "We're ready to help enterprise businesses unlock the ultimate last-mile experience for deliveries of any size," says PICKUP CEO Brian Kava.

At its new Dallas MFC, New York-based unicorn Fabric will combine "intelligent robotic fulfillment" with local last-mile operations to "redefine how supply chains work." The company runs MFC operations for grocery and consumer brands throughout the U.S. and Israel. The first company to launch in its Dallas MFC is Chill Brands, a CBD products lifestyle startup.

Plano-based PICKUP has named Brian Kava, who joined the company in September of last year, as its new CEO. He takes over from Brenda Stoner, who founded the company and has led it since 2014.
One of his goals is to continue to grow PICKUP, which serves 80 U.S. markets with a more than 200-person team.
