All-Female TWU Kinesiology Design Team Wins NASA Space Challenge

Called Team Atlas, the TWU team was the only kinesiology department represented at the two-day Texas Space Grant Consortium Design Challenge held outside of Houston. Their solution: An exercise device for long-duration space flights.

Dallas students at Texas Woman's University entered the Texas Space Grant Consortium Design Challenge for the first time, and returned as the contest's big winners. The team used 3D modeling software to create a design that relieves lower back pain for astronauts—and according to NASA, it's much needed.
