On the same day the Frisco City Council approved zoning for a Universal Theme Park in Frisco, news of another theme park featuring a kid-friendly pig hit North Texas like a cute pink shock wave. Merlin Entertainments, whose brands brands include LEGOLAND, Madame Tussauds, and SEA LIFE Aquariums, is bringing America's second Peppa Pig theme park to Tarrant County's North Richland Hills.

The Frisco City Council voted Tuesday to approve the zoning permit for a Universal Studios theme park and adjacent 300-room hotel, despite pushback from some in the community about the park's potential impact on traffic and other concerns. "Welcome to Frisco," Mayor Jeff Cheney said after the vote, according to WFAA, which noted that Frisco estimates the project will bring $1.8 billion in economic impact to the city.

A California-based Wells Fargo subsidiary, Wells Fargo Advisors, is leasing an 18,603-square-foot office in the newest high-rise at The Star development in Frisco.
According to a report by Steve Brown in the Dallas Morning News, Wells Fargo plans to start work in March on its offices at 17 Cowboys Way in the $1.5 billion development, with work slated to be completed by the fall.

Veteran-founded Wiley X has been providing premium protective eyewear to the U.S. military since its founding as a family-owned company in 1987. It built its new HQ in Frisco from the ground up, relocating from its former home base in Livermore, California. The company's products have a devoted following among outdoorsmen and women who hunt, fish, and shoot—along with government and first responder networks.

The report by RentCafe—"Top 50 Cities for Finding New Apartments in 2023"—ranks Frisco and McKinney as the No. 4 and No. 5 cities in the U.S. for finding an apartment that only a limited number of people, or maybe even no people, have lived in before. Two other Dallas suburbs made the list as well: Richardson at No. 25 and Plano at No. 42.
