Report: ‘Rich Renter’ Households in DFW Up as Much as 198% in Five Years

RentCafe said that while the number of high-income renters in Dallas rose by 74% and sits at 6% of the city's total renters between 2015 and 2020—peaking at 17,257— he number of high-income renters rose even more dramatically in other North Texas cities. Garland saw a rise of 198%, McKinney 186%, Plano 103%, and Frisco 93%.

It built its new HQ in Frisco from the ground up, relocating from its former home base in Livermore, California. Universal Parks & Resorts is planning a new theme park concept "unlike any other in the world"—and it aims to build it right here in North Texas. The proposed park will be sited within 97 acres of land Universal recently purchased in Frisco, and will target "a whole new generation of fans" on a more intimate scale than larger Universal parks.
An adjacent themed hotel will be also be part of Frisco's newest attraction.

There are new plans for the former Wade Park site in the North Platinum Corridor in Frisco. A 9-acre central park designed by the landscape firm behind Klyde Warren Park will be at the heart of the development that includes office, retail, residential, and two hotels. "We want every view to be a beautiful one," says Tim Campbell.
Developers plan to break ground in December.

Pro Volleyball Federation Launches Out of Frisco and Ohio, Takes Court in 2024

Women's pro sports in North America just got a new attraction to cheer for with the launch of the Pro Volleyball Federation. The indoor women's volleyball league is based locally out of Frisco as well as Columbus, Ohio, and will feature eight to 10 initial teams playing in "volleyball hotbeds" across the U.S. But the dinks, spikes, digs, and sets are still more than a year away from happening.
Slated to take the court in February 2024, the federation has founding partners including former Baltimore Ravens quarterback and Super Bowl champion Trent Dilfer, with involvement from volleyball legends Dr. Cecile Reynaud and Laurie Corbelli and Team USA veteran Jenna Rosenthal.

The new platform lets artists engage with fans at live shows while creating unique sponsorable assets for brands like Ford, McDonald's, and more.
