North Texas’ Chapwood Investments Partners on Financial Literacy Program for Athletes and Entertainers

Plano-based Chapwood Investments is partnering with North Dakota's Champion Venture Partners on a financial education program for athletes, celebrities, and entertainment professionals to help move their goal posts toward success.

The new record for the most users to take an online financial literacy lesson in 24 hours involved members of the public and students from Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD and Richardson ISD. Participants got rousing support from Dallas Mavericks player P.J. Washington, who said "being disciplined for six months can change your life forever."

Westlake-based Charles Schwab has partnered with Girls Scouts USA to modernize and relaunch the organization's financial literacy badges. The new financial literacy curriculum includes topics such as investing basics, building wealth, entrepreneurship, fraud awareness, and budgeting for different goals throughout life.
The goal is to help bridge the gap between what girls learn in school and what they need to feel confident managing finances in life and business,.
