FBI Taps Native Texan as New Special Agent in Charge of Dallas Field Office

Northeast Texas native B. Chad Yarbrough has been selected as the Special Agent in Charge of the Dallas Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, agency Director Christopher Wray announced.

Most recently, Yarbrough was a deputy assistant director in the Criminal Investigative Division at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Yarbrough replaces Matthew DeSarno who retired from the Dallas Field Office in October....

Extending an FBI national media campaign to fight hate crimes, Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson proclaimed October 3 as "FBI Dallas Hate Crimes Awareness Day." Wrap ads on DART buses and trains will help spread the word, and newly painted murals in two Dallas communities aim to help, too. "Through this proclamation, we are acknowledging that hate is real. But so is love," Mayor Johnson said.
