The 10.5-acre Community Park is slated to be the signature project of the Fair Park Master Plan. It aims to be a dynamic civic anchor—delivering shaded gathering spaces, playgrounds, walking trails, a market grove, a fitness hub, native landscaping, a community pavilion, and a performance stage.

Fair Park First Taps AECOM as Partner in Fair Park Capital Improvements

AECOM said it will oversee the delivery of the upcoming Community Park Complex, an expansive 18-acre greenspace that includes a 1,650-space parking structure. The firm will also partner on future projects by managing design, construction, permitting, and closeout, among other services.

Slated to open in 2025, the complex is the first step to putting the "Park" back in Fair Park, says Fair Park First, Dallas Park and Recreation's management partner that oversees day-to-day operations at Fair Park.
The 18-acre Community Park Complex will feature Wi-Fi, water play, an outdoor performance stage, a dog park, outdoor cafes, exercise equipment, and inclusive playgrounds.

The Dallas Foundation—the first community foundation in Texas—says it awarded over $1.3 million in Community Impact Fund Grants in 2021. The grants were given to 25 local organizations and initiatives that are "driving meaningful results for children and families."
"Each of these awards represents an investment in some of Dallas’ most important needs and most impactful organizations," said Matthew Randazzo, the foundation's president and CEO.
